Environment Minister directed to make the project to prevent air pollution successful

Minister of Environment, Forests and Climate Change Saber Hossain Chowdhury has directed the concerned officials to make the BEST project to prevent air pollution into the most successful project

He said, to reduce air pollution, we should not just wait for the project. In consideration of public health, if necessary, the government should work to prevent air pollution

The environment minister said these things at a consultancy workshop organized on the ‘Environmental Sustainability and Transformation (BEST)’ project at Department of Environment, Agargaon on Thursday.

Saber Hossain Chowdhury said that care should be taken to ensure that the project money taken from public funds is not wasted. The project must be completed on time within the budget. To ensure the achievement of the quality goals of the pollution control project

The minister said that to make this project a success, four components of the project will be implemented by Department of Environment, Bangladesh Bank, BRTA and Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority.

Representatives of various ministries, government and private organizations, environmental experts and journalists were present, including the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. Objectives, goals and outcomes of the project in the workshop; Coordination between implementing agencies and stakeholders and project challenges and ways forward are discussed.
