China has assured Bangladesh that it will help Rohingyas return to their homeland

China’s active support to speed up the repatriation process for the Rohingyas was assured.

Wang Qi, Vice Chairman of China’s Foreign Affairs Committee, gave this assurance to the delegation of Bangladesh on the sidelines of the 14th session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, on Wednesday.
The delegation of Bangladesh to the Asian Parliamentary Assembly in Azerbaijan includes the former Chief Whip of Bangladesh Jatiya Sangsad AM Feroz, President of the Standing Committee on Ministry of Primary and Mass Education Aftab Uddin Sarkar, Sylhet-3 Constituency MP Habibur Rahman Habib, and Laxmipur-2 Constituency MP Noor Uddin Chowdhury Nayan. A delegation of nine members led by the Vice Chairman of China’s Foreign Affairs Committee, Wang Qi, participated in the meeting.
Parliamentary delegations from 40 countries, including speakers from 10 countries, are participating in the event dedicated to the theme of strengthening regional cooperation for sustainable development in Asia at this meeting in Baku. On the sidelines of the meeting, the members of the delegation of Bangladesh held a meeting with the delegation of China.
