Gomstapur of Chapainawabganj by noose. A young man named Salim Reza (32) committed suicide. He is from Bagduarpara village in Rahanpur town area of the upazila. Son of Durul Hoda.
This incident took place at his home in Bagduarpara village of Rahanpur municipal area of the upazila on Saturday (February 24) at 5 o’clock in the afternoon.
Chowdhury Zubair Ahmed, OC of Gomstapur Police Station, said that according to the information of local residents and his relatives, Salim Reza was a mental patient. Anytime after Saturday afternoon, he committed suicide by hanging himself with the arrow of his own house. Later, around 5:00 p.m., the people of the house informed the police.
The police went to the spot and recovered the body and brought it to the police station. The body has been sent to Chapainawabganj Modern Hospital for autopsy. A UD case has been registered in Gomstapur police station in this regard.
