Bangladesh defeated India in the final

Bangladesh entered the finals of SAFF U-16 Women’s Championship on Tuesday (March 5) after defeating India. The women in red and green beat India 3-1 at the Anfa Complex in Nepal.

Bangladesh got off to a great start in the Under-16 women’s clean campaign. Surveer’s double goal kept Nepal one foot away from the final. This time, the women’s team of Bangladesh won the ticket to the final by defeating the strong India in the second match. The winning team between Nepal and India will join Bangladesh in the final on March 10. And if there is a draw, there will be another calculation.

Bangladesh took the lead against India with Alfi Akhter’s goal in the first half of the match. In the second half, however, India cornered Bangladesh with one attack after another. Due to this, India got a goal in the 54th minute of the match. India forward Anushka Kumari’s shot from the right corner of the D-box found its way into the Bangladesh net.

After equalizing the match, India tried to take the lead. However, in the 80th minute of the match, Preeti went behind two Indian defenders and entered the box with great speed and scored a goal. And in the last minute of the scheduled time, captain Arpita Biswas scored another goal in Jatla and Bangladesh left the field with a 3-1 victory.

There was a lot of drama in the Bangladesh-India match in the SAFF U-19 Women’s Championship final last month. After 1-1 at full time, the game went straight to a tiebreaker. Both teams scored 11 equal goals in the tiebreaker. Then suddenly the Lankan match commissioner tossed. Bangladesh objected if it lost. Later, the two teams were declared joint champions.
