The court granted the bail application of BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, a member of the party’s standing committee, in the case of Ramna Model Police Station in connection with the attack and vandalism in front of the Chief Justice’s residence.
On Wednesday (February 14), Acting Metropolitan Sessions Judge of Dhaka Faisal Atiq Bin Quader gave this bail order after the hearing.
Earlier on February 6, their lawyer Syed Zainal Abedin Mejbah applied for bail on their behalf. He said that earlier their bail application in this case was rejected by the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court of Dhaka. If they get bail in this case, they can be released from prison.
