The European Union has expressed interest in supporting language education for women in Bangladesh, said Education Minister Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury.
A delegation including European Union Ambassador to Bangladesh Charles Whatley paid a courtesy call on the Education Minister at the Secretariat on Sunday.
In the meeting, the members of the delegation want to cooperate in helping Bangladeshi women to learn languages and improve various skills in different European Union countries, so that Bangladeshi women can contribute in different fields in different European countries.
At this time, the delegation expressed interest in working with Bangladesh in the future as well as in the past in the development of technical and vocational education along with general education.
